Healthy Living Market

I recently went shopping at the Healthy Living Market in Saratoga Springs. By purchasing just a few very simple ingredients, I could make three tasty lunches for the daycare that the children loved!

The first meal I made from Healthy Living Market was a quiche. I used fresh organic eggs, organic broccoli, organic cheese, Batternkill milk, fresh boneless ham and organic whole wheat pie shells. I combined the ingredients and baked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Making the quiche couldn’t have been easier, it turned out wonderful, and the children loved it!

The second lunch time meal I made from Healthy Living was a hearty ham and cheese sandwich. I used organic whole wheat bread, organic slow cooked ham, organic cheese and natural mustard. I removed the crust with a round cookie cutter. The children ate every bite and asked for seconds!

The third meal I made from Healthy Living Market was lemon roasted chicken. I used a whole chicken (brand Smart Chicken), fresh lemons with zest, olive oil, lemon thyme, rosemary, and sea salt. Combine all the ingredient in a measuring cup and pour over the chicken. Cover with foil and cook for an hour and a half on 400 degrees. Remove the foil towards the end of cooking to allow to brown. This chicken came out of the oven so juicy and tender. The children really enjoyed it.
