Education & Experience:
(1) Bachelor’s degree including, or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related fieldAND
One year full-time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program
AND
One year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or a related field of work
OR
(2) New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential
AND
One year full-time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program
AND
one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field of work
Pass the health, medical and criminal background checks as required by New York State Law; attend any service trainings required by New York State including 15hr health and safety; willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid and be able to be on site 40 hours a week.
In a Director, we are looking for a committed individual who can effectively and efficiently run all center operations.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices are in place at the center.
Planning daily curriculum around the developmental needs of the children ages 3-5yrs
Create a rich learning environment that is safe, educational and sanitary.
Provide daily updates on the children’s health, emotional well-being and achievements on Tadpoles and with families
Conduct tours for prospective parents and enrolling new families.
Ensuring NYS licensing standards are met and meeting with NYS licensors upon arrivals
Assisting teachers and assistants with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities
Monitoring and managing the center
Ensuring a safe environment for the children and staff -

Willingness to stay current on 15 hours of scheduled trainings per year
Willingness to work 30-40 hrs per weekQualifications:
Associates degree in Early Childhood or related field
Two years experience working in a daycare setting -
